CARLOTA MANTECÓN - Sing, Sang, Song | 24 - 30 april
Free residence.
Synopsis
In Sing, sang, song he explores a vocal game in which I work with a minimalist and austere aesthetic. Playing to sound and to move, to vibrate and to resonate. Here the voice is the motor of the game. Does the body become an instrument by moving from sound and moving with resonance? What speculative reality is made possible through the agency of sound as a politics for action? The intuitive listening to that which vibrates, sounds or rhythms activates an as yet unknown dance from which to explore that intuitive, fragile and almost naive knowledge that moves space through vibration as an instrument.
Biography

Carlota Mantecón
Carlota Mantecón works on stage from choreography, dance and performativity. Her practice develops with special interest in the possible relations between movement and sound; subjects in which she has collaborated intensively in recent years with the violinist Luz Prado. She is currently dancing with the choreographer Aleksandar Georgiev in his piece "Screensaver" on tour in Europe and the Balkans. She has also shared processes with other choreographers such as Carmelo Salazar, Jesús Rubio Gamo or Masu Fajardo. She relies on spaces of coexistence through mediation and pedagogy, stretching the crossovers between dance and philosophical thought as expanded forms of knowledge; collaborating regularly with groups of amateur women dancers and thinkers.
