Synopsis
Dance-movement performance based on improvisation as the main axis. It is based on the here and now, group listening and the possibility of playing and creating with the stimuli that the public proposes, the space in which it is performed and the random music that sounds for each improvisation. Creating a dialogue between the performers and their environment, making each impro state completely different, an ephemeral composition, it is born and dies at that very moment.
WORK LINE
The collective is interested in developing the concept of improvisation through tools, expressive resources and strategies that can enrich their performance. Contextualizing dance and movement, adapting it to the present moment in which it happens, is one of the main objectives of the work.
Biography

The Status collective, based in Mallorca, has its beginnings as the Status Crew, an urban dance group, formed in 2014. It is made up of dancers from various disciplines (urban dance, contemporary dance, acrobatics and theater). They are known for their peculiar style, continually trying to investigate the limits and possibilities of movement. They created the collective to take the way of understanding dance towards new paradigms. Piece "Metanoia" / Selected for Festival EIMA 2020, Festival Palma Dansa 2020.
